Best Kahoona 2010

Just seen the latest pictures of the new Kahoona from Best , it again looks like a delta shaped kite, so giving that great low end grunt. There appears to be no center strut, giving the kite a nice light feel whilst in the air. The wing tips look like they may well of been beefed up. And if the colours are anything to go by it makes me wonder if all kites will be white, with just different colored graphic's.

New Website

You will probably have noticed that our website has changed a bit.

We have been continually looking at ways of improving our site since the original one launched several years ago now, and we hope that is one will offer improved speed easy of use.

We have completely re written our stock control system so you will now be able to see exactly what we have in stock online.

The customer side of the site has also been improved with a faster checkout and more payment options.

I spent today trawling over mysql and looking at a ftp screen, most of the site is live, just the weather to hook up now.

Oh and make sure you sign up to the newsletter, we will be sending out some discount loving in the near future!

Royal Mail strikes

We will be keeping a close eye on Royal Mail's planned strikes and if they go ahead we will use alternative methods (most likley APC) instead.

Slingshot RPM 1st views and pics

First impressions of the New Slingshot RPM, is it is looking like it is going to sit pretty squarely between the Rev and the Fuel, the leading edge is still fairly large like the Fuel giving the kite a good solid feel, the struts are very thin, (unlike the Fuel). This makes a joy with the one pump system as it is inflated in next to no time. The leading edge has lost all it's 5 rows of stitching, and has been blessed with what looks like some Kevlar reinforcements all the way along the leading edge. The bridle is one I have never seen before, and looks different but supported the leading edge and tips well. There has been lots of techie stuff written about different settings so I wont go on. The wing tips are large so I guess this baby is going to turn very fast, maybe more from the wing tip than from the center of the kite, so for all those powered up kite loopers will love it, if you don't want to get spanked by the fuel, as the RPM will clearly have more depower than the Fuel. The materials still feel great, typical slingshot quality materials, now I just can't wait for the wind to blow!
